Ah Shucks, Andy!
Mt. Airy, NC is the hometown of TV legend Andy Griffith. The town has really capitalized on this and does a great job of catering to fans of Mayberry such as myself. I stopped at “Barney’s Cafe” for breakfast and the meal (eggs, bacon, and grits) was not bad. Someone should open “The Apple Dumpling Gang Saloon” in Morgantown.
If you only know Griffith from the Mayberry shows and Matlock I highly recomend you check out “A Face In The Crowd” (1957) and “Waitress” (2009).

Watcha Gonna Do When They Come for You?
This is as close to an episode of COPS as I want to get.
Yesterday, as I was leaving my parent’s tranquil neighborhood in Morgantown, WV I was nearly run off the road by an unknown person in a Honda CRV. My interest was piqued when I noticed he was being closely followed by a police car, lights flashing in full-on car chase mode. Not too far behind where a couple more cruisers in hot pursuit. I found out later they finally caught up with the allegedly stolen vehicle after an extensive chase.
Now I really want some ‘spike strips’ of my own.

Imagine Waking Up to This
Over the past month workers have been appearing outside my building on ladders, lifts, and other assorted contraptions. For some reason all of the siding needs to be replaced. I am hoping that after the endless banging, drilling, and semi-threatening reminders from the building’s manager to keep our windows shut the work is nearly completed.
FYI: This is the first post I’ve made from my phone using the WordPress for iPhone app. The initial posting was fairly easy. Cleaning it up and editing the HTML was a bit of a challenge.
New Look, Same Great Taste!
I have received some pressure lately to join Facebook and/or Twitter. Mostly because people are concerned I’ve fallen off the face of the earth or worse. Instead of bending to peer pressure I thought an update to Stewsnews might be in order.
I cannot promise that I’ll be very regular with my posts; my life is just not that interesting these days. However, I’ll try my best to put something up even if is just the occasional photo.
